• Meeting called to order by President Raftery at 6:30 pm
• Resignation / Appointments

• Jerry Wolcott announced his resignation as Rules Interpreter
• R. Raftery proposed J. Mclaughlin as interim Rules Interpreter

• Vote put forth and passed unanimously

• Banquet Status Report
  • Membership committee to team with banquet committee
  • Banquet to continue at Dwyer Stadium in 2018
• Fundraiser Report
  • Fundraiser generated net income of over $1,200
• State Meeting Report
  • Black jackets approved
  • Possible 10 run rule to be approved by state committee
  • NYSBUA dues up to $20 (includes test fee)

• Administrative Report
  • Two rules misinterpretations
  • One missed game instance
  • Discussed GVUA members not taking games not assigned by GVUA
  • Grievance filed by USBC for mileage when games cancelled en route
• Board Responsibility Check List/Job Scripts
  • Board members to provide monthly updates beginning November 2017
• Associate/Probationary Review
  • 10 of 10 probationary members approved to advance to Associate
  • 5 probationary members approved to advance to certified
  • 3 probationary members to stay at probationary level for 2018 season

  • Draft Report of the 2017 Year approved (unanimous)
  • Draft Budget for 2018 Year approved (unanimous)
• Recruitment Program
  • Continue with Craigslist and Penny Saver advertising
  • Creation of new Social Media Director position to create GVUA online presence.

  • J. Mclaughlin to look into mechanic books and any potential changes to 2018 rule books
