Minutes for Spring Meeting

Meeting Called to order by President Ryan Raftery at 10:10 AM
New Recruits introduced themselves and explained how they were recruited
Brian Newville took the new members into side room to share some beginning information
§ Roll call has done by Sec/Treasurer Dave Leight
These from current roster were absent: Dave Aurand, Alex Brasky, John Congeli, Marvin Englert,
Clifford Farmer, John Moffitt (going inactive) and Dave Wolcott
· Ryan mentioned the passing of former umpire and Hall of Famer Pete Pegoni with moment of silence
· Vote of accepting previous minutes from last meeting Sam Rothrock (1 st ), Terri Burch (2 nd )
passed.
· Copies of Last Years Financial Report and this years Projected Budget were passed out and explained. Move to accept Financial Report Rich Kosiorek (1 st ) Bill Pitcher (2 nd ) Approved by
voice vote. Move to accept Proposed Budget Bruce Reichard (1 st ) Terri Burch (2 nd ) Approved by voice vote.

Ø Executive Committee correspondence Report:
1. Email regarding 3 RD official at sectional Final games. 3 rd official was approved by
Section V.
2. Email regarding two problems one involved person that did not print SS# so it was
readable and another regarding a n umpire not fingerprinted and therefore could not work.
3. Email from umpire external to our association – during summer tourney several other organizations around us helped us out and you may be working with some of these
4. Email on Evaluations. Showed much benefit to our organization from an improvement
point, also Gerry Wolcott will be using in meeting for educational purposes, and school officials AD’s and coaches were impressed by the efforts being made.
5. Email regarding last years fundraiser. Of $5000 brought in $3000 went to Jackets for
members and $1800 went to winners, which netted about $200 profit.

· Advancements: Brian Newville - there are 2 advancements for the coming season

· Resolution Committee: Brian Newville- no changes
· Evaluation Committee: Spoken of earlier in meeting
· Membership : Rodney Lund - this year advertised in Penny Saver, Cable TV, Craig List
Baseball and softball split bill for Penny Saver.
· Nominations: Terri Burch –next due date March of 2015
· Banquet: Rodney Lund - Same format for this year with Banquet at Muckdogs game Monday
