Minutes Executive Board Meeting for 8/13/07

·        Attendees:  Raftery, Tepedino, Charboneau, Pegoni, Pitcher, Leight

·        Change in Executive Board Position

o       Accepted resignation of Rico Tepedino from Secretary/Treasurer position (effective 12/1/07)

o       Appointment of Dave Leight to the Secretary/Treasurer position (board votes 4-0)

o       Items to be reviewed with Secretary/Treasurer position

§         Establish transfer of bank account information

§         Transfer of archives, electronic files, and CD back-ups

§         Contact NYS (Don Volk) with new contact information.

·        State Meeting October 6-7 Binghamton – no issues to present

·        Meeting Dates for 2008

o       Adding in Summer Baseball meeting dates for new umps & rule review

o       Contact Batavia & Bergen to see if gym/cage work dates are possible

·        Recruitment for 2008 High School Season & Summer Season

o       Advertising – will add additional slate during month of March & April

o       Incentive based recruitment current umpires

§         Free hat if new umpire (you recruited)  completes 5 point plan

§         1/2 Dues for the following season if recruited umpire returns for next season

·        Summer Baseball – status report (now added over 35 leagues to our service)

·        Executive Session – 8:35pm

o       Review Evaluations for Associate & Probationary Umpires

o       Fingerprinting – review the 07 procedure

o       Discuss items relating to personal isuues

o       Review of the 2007 fundraiser

·        Executive Session Ended– 9:15pm

·        Hall of Fame Induction

o        final 7 nominees were presented and will be inducted class 2008

o       Information will be gathered on each and location of a photo

·        Meeting adjourned at 9:33pm
